This is a custom designed knife depicting a morning in the rainforest. The facing side of the knife showcases a pair of Keel-Billed toucans in the upper canopy. On the back of the knife we see Red-eyed tree frogs peering from the foliage. The scenes are framed by native trees and a variety of orchids in the upper canopy of the rainforest, and complement the beautiful color of the inset ruby. The large leaves of the canopy are echoed in the dramatic veining of the Damascus steel.
The scrimshaw art is my own design and is worked on elephant ivory. This knife is a Liner Lock Folder made by Russ Sutton. The mosaic Damascus Leaf Pattern on the handle is by Robert Eggerling, and the blade is Mike Norris Ladder pattern stainless Damascus. It features a hand made thumb stud of 14K gold inset with a Swarovski faceted natural ruby. The liners are titanium.
